The Vale Wildlife Hospital & Rehabilitation Centre - Open Day | Hedgy Socks
Have you ever wondered what happens to injured and orphaned animals? Wonder no more because I'm here to tell you about my day spent at the Vale Wildlife Hospital centre! Keep reading if you're interested in wildlife conservation or want to learn more about how these centres work!
I recently had the pleasure of attending the Vale Wildlife Hospital's open day. It was an excellent opportunity to learn about their fantastic work caring for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. I was particularly impressed by their sustainable approach to running the hospital. They rely heavily on donations and volunteers; all their food and supplies are donated. This means that they can keep their costs down and funnel as much money as possible into the care of the animals.
It was also heartening to see how much effort they put into rehabilitation and release. Wherever possible, they nurse the animals back to health and release them back into the wild. They even have a particular program to help monitor released animals and provide ongoing support if necessary. Clearly, they care about British wildlife and are doing everything they can to protect it. I'm proud to have been a part of such a great event!
